Dance Power at The Performing Arts Center

Introducing a new and wonderful program: DANCE POWER!

Dance Power, which was created by Tremaine Dance Conventions & Competitions in partnership with the National Children's Leukemia Foundation (NCLF), uses the medium of dance to bring glowing smiles to the faces of children diagnosed with cancer and leukemia.  Dance Power gives these children an opportunity - one day per week - to forget about their illness and just be "kids".  During Dance Power classes children are taught (simplified) dance routines, plus meditation and breathing exercises that help them feel calm, focused and empowered.  Dance Power also gives young dancers (peer mentors) an opportunity to give back to their communities by sharing their love of dance with children facing tremendous challenges.
